Stefan Axemark is the property manager at Biltema Real Estate. He contacted Energihuset when they needed energy certificates and the legally required energy labelling of their properties in Norway. On recommendation from Energihuset, they also carried out an energy survey of the properties. Energihuset helped apply for support from Enova, which covered about half the cost of the energy survey.
That is the slogan of Biltema. Stefan is committed to working proactively with energy and wants to pay as little as possible for energy use in all the buildings he is responsible for. Energy costs are unpredictable, and energy will cost more and more. High operating costs can ultimately affect the prices passed on to customers. It is important to Biltema that their energy costs do not negatively affect customers.
Stefan is happy that they took the recommendation to conduct an energy survey of the buildings. With the insights that came from the survey, Biltema can clearly see where they stand now and work focused towards their ambitious goals.
– Today we average 86 kilowatt hours per square meter, annually. We are going down to 75 kWh. With today's electricity prices, that will mean savings of approximately 5 million kroner for us.
When asked about recommending Energihuset, Stefan highlights what he calls proper engineers who give good advice. Stefan appreciates the good relationship they have gained – an important factor is good and long-term cooperation.
